The PluriElles Women Platform was established in 2016 alongside the release of the book « PluriElles, Women of the African Diaspora, Karthala, 2016 ». Co-authored by Jacinthe Mazzocchetti and Marie-Pierre Nyatanyi-Biyiha, the book combines literary and photographic portraits to depict the lives of twenty African women residing in Belgium. The platform strives for gender equality, encouraging participation and recognition of African and Afro-descendant women in society. Through various activities and events held internationally, PluriElles aims to inspire younger generations and foster intergenerational transmission while advocating for women’s rights.
