The Makeda concept is a program that empowers African women through capacity building and financial support for income-generating activities. It provides training in information technologies and distributes smartphones to enable women to enter the digital age. The program helps women transition from the informal to the formal economy by facilitating access to microfinance structures. The program has been launched in Cameroon, Zambia, and Senegal, supporting vulnerable women and promoting a holistic approach to empowerment. It focuses on personal, technical, and professional skills, supports education for children, involves men, and encourages insurance coverage for social stability.
