Between Them

enter-1

The Entr’Elles project, initiated in 2019 by Djaïli Mbock asbl and Women Up, aims to facilitate dialogue between migrant mothers and their daughters on topics related to female migration, education in a migratory context, and intergenerational transmission. The project, in partnership with various organizations, seeks to break taboos surrounding sexuality, gender diversity, religion, and cultural traditions through intergenerational discussions. It aims to create a forum for mothers to share their migration experiences and overcome socio-professional challenges, while providing a platform for young girls to express their aspirations and address obstacles they face as African or Afro-descendant individuals in society. The project records mother-daughter conversations on video, produces a documentary to raise awareness, develops recommendations for institutions, and establishes a permanent space for ongoing dialogue and understanding between generations.
