Feminisms of African women in Belgium
The project aims to document the history of African women’s struggles, their organizations, and the contributions of African women’s movements and black feminist movements in Belgian society. This will be achieved through interviews, seminars, workshops, and discussions, focusing on various actions and their impact in combating racism and discrimination. The project has three main objectives: tracing the history of African migrant women’s struggles against discrimination, facilitating exchange and sharing of experiences with the younger generation, and promoting a shift in societal attitudes through counter-discourses and analysis. The project will culminate in a book that serves as an awareness-raising resource.
